Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. This season you will be coaching in the Fergus Falls Hockey Association and District 15 of Minnesota.
PLEASE NOTE: COACHES ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE ICE UNTIL USA HOCKEY REGISTRATION, BACKGROUND SCREEN, ONLINE AGE MODULES, SAFESPORT AND CONCUSSION TRAINING ARE COMPLETED!
Complete the USA hockey coach’s registration.
You will need your USA hockey confirmation number to register with FFHA.

USA HOCKEY REGISTRATION: Register with USA Hockey at https://www.usahockeyregistration.com/register_form_input.action. Be sure to save your confirmation number. This number will be used to register with FFHA.
SCREENING: Complete the electronic screening form found at http://www.minnesotahockey.org/page/show/96281-screening Upon completing this you will be provided with a Minnesota Hockey Electronic Screening Form Confirmation Number. Please retain this number for your records. (Coaches are required to do a background screen every 2 years, so if you completed a screening in 2018-2019 season you are not required to do it again this season. )
SAFESPORT: Complete the SafeSport Training Program or take the refresher course at http://www.usahockey.com/safesporttraining .
The SafeSport Training and Refresher Training are each valid for one (1) season beginning on 4/1/19. Please Note: if you took the training during the 2018-19 season, it is still valid for the 2019-20 seasons.
As of January 1, 2018, all relevant individuals who need to be SafeSport certified or are seeking recertification will need to complete the new SafeSport training, which features updated content.
Once you have completed the Core SafeSport Course, there will be a Refresher Course available for individuals who have previously completed the core SafeSport course and need to recertify. Users completing the SafeSport refresher course will be certified for an additional season.
CONCUSSION TRAINING: Complete the free concussion training at: https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/youthsports/training/index.html Click on "Launch Course”. If you are required to complete a new age module for this season, the concussion training will be administered during that. If you have a certificate of Concussion Training completion obtained from another source (Other youth sports, etc) that will serve as completion for FFHA as well. (Coaches are required to do concussion training every 2 years, so if you completed a concussion training in 2018-2019 season you are not required to do it again this season. )
FFHA REGISTRATION: Return to the FFHA Coaches Registration page to complete your registration for the 2019-20 season.
CEP & Online Module Requirements – Once you have successfully completed the five steps above, you will need to sign up for and complete the relevant coaching clinic & age-specific module prior to December 31st in order to be certified or rostered on a team. Please refer to our "Coaches" page for more details regarding CEP requirements.
